How to delete your data
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This page explains what data SuperSocial keeps and how to ask us to delete it. It applies to two kinds of people:
- If you messaged a business on Instagram, Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp (or through its website chat) and that business uses SuperSocial to reply.
- If you are a SuperSocial customer: a business with a SuperSocial account that has connected its channels.
For any request, contact Ivansenkin@supersocial.es. It is the same contact listed in our Privacy Policy.
1. If you messaged a business that uses SuperSocial
What data we keep
When you message a business that uses SuperSocial, we keep, on behalf of that business:
- Your identifier on the channel: the Instagram or Messenger ID that Meta assigns to the conversation, or your WhatsApp phone number.
- Your public profile on that channel: name, username and profile picture.
- The messages you exchange with the business, including photos, audio and files, and the replies from the business or its AI assistant.
- The comments you leave on the business's Instagram posts, if it manages them with SuperSocial, and the replies you received.
- What is needed to help you: support tickets opened from your conversation and, if you ask about an order, the order number and email you give us to find it in the business's store.
The business you messaged is the controller of that data; SuperSocial processes it on its behalf as a data processor. We do not sell it or use it for anything else.
How to request deletion
- Email us at Ivansenkin@supersocial.es with the subject "Delete my data" and include:
- the channel (Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp or website chat),
- your username or phone number on that channel,
- and the name of the business you messaged.
- To make sure the request is yours, we may ask you to message us from that same account or number.
- We delete your contact, messages, attachments, comments and related tickets, and we let the business know.
You can also ask the business directly: it can delete the conversation from its inbox.
Deleting your data in SuperSocial does not delete the messages inside Instagram, Messenger or WhatsApp: those copies belong to Meta and are managed from the app itself.
2. If you are a SuperSocial customer
What data we keep
- Your account data: name, email, hashed password, photo, two-factor authentication and, if you sign in with Google or GitHub, the link to that account.
- Your connected channels: the ID of your Instagram account, Facebook Page or WhatsApp number, and the access token Meta gives us, stored encrypted.
- Your workspace content: conversations, contacts, tickets, AI agents, documents and your store information (for example, Shopify).
- Billing data: plan, subscription and invoices, handled by Stripe.
Delete your account from the app
- Sign in to SuperSocial and go to Settings.
- At the bottom of the page, click Delete account and confirm with your password.
When you delete it, your subscription is cancelled first, with no further charges, and then your personal data is removed immediately: name, email, password, photo, two-factor authentication and Google or GitHub links. Please note:
- Only the account owner can delete it. If you have invited team members, remove them first; if you are an invited member, ask the owner.
- If you pay through Shopify, you cancel by uninstalling the SuperSocial app from your store.
- Deleting the account does not remove your workspace content (conversations, contacts, tickets, documents). If you want us to delete it too, email Ivansenkin@supersocial.es from your account email, before or after deleting the account.
If you cannot sign in, email us from your account email and we will do it for you.
Remove SuperSocial's access to Instagram or Facebook
You can withdraw the permission you gave SuperSocial at any time. From that moment we stop receiving messages and can no longer send on your behalf:
- In SuperSocial: disconnect the account from the connected channels screen.
- On Instagram: go to Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites, and remove SuperSocial.
- On Facebook: go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and websites), and remove SuperSocial.
Removing access cuts the connection, but it does not delete what was already stored. To do that, request deletion as described above.
3. Timeframes
- We confirm by email that we have received your request.
- We complete the deletion within 30 days of being able to verify that the request is yours, and we let you know when it is done.
4. What we keep even if you request deletion
Only what the law requires us to keep, and only for the legal period:
- Invoices and billing records (in Stripe), to meet tax and commercial obligations. The link to the Stripe customer is kept so that each issued invoice can be attributed.
- What is needed to handle a claim or a request from an authority that is already in progress.
- A record of your deletion request (date and what was deleted), so we can show that we handled it.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or the data protection authority in your country.
